On May 18, the A.W. Becker Elementary School opened its doors to our students and families for the first time in almost two years for their Annual A.W. Becker Art Show, Science, and Engineering Fair!
The event contained work from students from kindergarten through grade 5. There were science, engineering, and art projects galore lining the halls of the school. We saw handmade masks, lemon batteries, abstract sculptures, volcanos, and more! The creativity and tenacity of our A.W. Becker students were evident as families toured the show, seeing examples of how much students have grown over the last year.
“We were so excited to be able to bring this back again this year,” said A.W. Becker Principal Debra Neubart. “Our students and staff have dedicated a lot of time, effort, and care to create this beautiful show. It is so special to be able to share it with our community again.”
Big thank you to the students, staff, families, and community members who helped support the event and came out to celebrate! An extra special shout out goes to AWB Art Teacher Clare Esmond, AWB Math & Science Curriculum Content Specialist Marisa Tutay and AWB STEAM Teachers for all of their hard work and care for our students not only during the show but all year.
