This week is School Board Recognition Week, a time to honor the dedicated members of the RCS School District Board of Education and their vital role in our students’ education. Our board is deeply committed to ensuring that every student has access to meaningful learning experiences that connect them with the real world.
In 2024, the Board of Education reimagined the District’s Mission, Vision, and Goals to support effective communication, culture and climate conducive to student learning, and high academic standards. By providing accountability for student achievement results and developing policies and a budget that reflects our goals, the board aligns district resources to enhance educational outcomes. They also prioritize supporting a healthy school culture. Their focus on connecting students with real-world activities prepares them for success beyond the classroom.
We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to our Board of Education members: Michael Deyo (President), Edward Bedinotti (Vice President), Daniel Baker, Michael Coyne, Jacqueline Kalney, Matthew Miller, Jennifer Molino, Melanie Potter, and Peter Ross. Their dedication to our students and their future is commendable.
