At the budget vote on Tuesday, May 21, the community will be asked to vote on the $54,578,339 proposed budget. The proposed plan includes a spending increase of $1,029,853 or 1.92% and would result in an estimated tax rate increase of 4.26%. This estimated tax increase is below the district’s tax cap of 4.45% and requires only a simple majority for the budget to be approved (50% plus one vote).
The vote will also include a Capital Improvement Project, consisting of improvements and upgrades to the Transportation Facility. The Project's proposed work will include electrical power infrastructure upgrades, underground conduit, electrical panels, a new bus/vehicle lift, and associated equipment to support future, heavier electric buses.
As a reminder, please continue to follow the budget conversation by visiting the district’s 2024-25 Budget Development page. There you will find additional reports, presentations, and a copy of the 2022-23 proposed budget.
The vote for the Annual School District Budget will be held on Tuesday, May 21, at the RCS High School in the Main Gym from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
