CLASSROOM COMMUNICATION JUST GOT EASIER
Staff have been working diligently this summer to transition to a new student management system called Synergy. This system will replace SchoolTool and has features that will improve the efficiency, accuracy, and security of maintaining our student records. Click here to read the article about the changes ahead. Note this change to a new student management system will not be complete at the start of the school year. This slower transition to synergy is to ensure all staff have the opportunity for training.
WELCOME DAYS FOR 6TH AND 9TH GRADERS
On Wednesday, September 6, 9th graders will get the opportunity to walk their schedule, find their lockers, and pick up their Chromebooks from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Transportation to this event will be provided. 6th graders and their families had this opportunity on Wednesday, August 30. Check out these newsletters from the Middle and High School Principals: 6th Grade Orientation and 9th Grade Orientation.

SOME RCS BUILDINGS ARE APPROVED FOR FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH
RCS was recently notified that our Elementary and Middle school students’ reimbursable meals will be free this school year, 2023-24. The three schools have qualified under the USDA and SED guidelines for CEP, Community Eligibility Provision. The High school did not qualify. High school students may purchase meals with no increase in price. All families in our community are encouraged to explore those resources that may be available to them based on their household incomes; in this way, our high school may also be included in future Community Eligibility.
