Artist of the Month is an RCS High School program that acknowledges an art student each month. The Artist of the Month is a student who comes to class each day ready to learn, participates in class, is dedicated to their projects, and has a positive attitude.
The High School Artist of the Month for January is Sandra Guzman-Ortiz!
Sandra is a 9th-grade student currently enrolled in Studio in Art as well as a very active member of Art Club! Sandra’s dedication to her craft is remarkable. She always listens carefully to instructions and takes her time while creating her pieces. She is meticulous when it comes to measuring and keeping her subjects in proper proportion. Sandra pays careful attention to lighting and has an amazing amount of control while shading. We are looking forward to seeing her finished Art Club drawing soon!
