Each month the Physical Education Department at the RCS Middle School will be recognizing individual students for the hard work they demonstrated in class during the entire month. Students were nominated by Physical Education Teachers Mr. James Henry, Ms. Jasmine Powell, and Ms. Anna Davies.
A big congratulations to the Physical Education Students of the Month for April: Ryan Hoch (Grade 6), Masey Raymond (Grade 6), Zachery Rogers (Grade 7), Haley Visone (Grade 7), Brianna Capuano (Grade 8), and Jonathen Weaver (Grade 8).
Here is a brief description of each student’s contributions to their class:
Ryan Hoch: Ryan always comes to Physical Education class prepared and ready to learn. He always follows directions the first time they are given. In addition, Ryan has demonstrated leadership and sportsmanship skills throughout all activities. He goes above and beyond by helping others in the class when they need it. Ryan is a positive role model in his class. Congratulations on receiving Physical Education Student of the Month!
Masey Raymond: Masey has done an excellent job in Physical Education class! She is always respectful to her classmates and follows directions. Masey has been a positive influence on the class and is always willing to help others. In addition, her enthusiasm and high participation levels are evident throughout every class activity. Congratulations on receiving Physical Education Student of the Month!
Zachery Rogers: Zach is always ready to participate in every class, on time for every class, and always helps other students if they have a question about an activity or rule of a game. He is always kind, respectful, caring, and helpful to all other students in his class. Zach does an outstanding job in physical education class by following class rules, helping pick up the equipment at the end of every class, demonstrating respect and sportsmanship to all students in class, and many more positive things. Congratulations on receiving Physical Education Student of the Month!
Haley Visone: Haley does an outstanding job in Physical Education class. She displays leadership skills through her enthusiasm for class activities, high levels of participation, and always following directions. She sets an excellent example to her classmates on being respectful to others, following directions, and coming to class prepared. Haley is a positive role model for her PE Class. Congratulations on receiving Physical Education Student of the Month!
Brianna Capuano: Bri has been a fantastic example of the student of the month for April. She helped out tremendously during the volleyball unit by being a student demonstration for the class. During instruction, Bri would show the class how to serve, set, and bump a volleyball. Her peers were able to develop greater skill comprehension because of her willingness to demonstrate. If Bri noticed classmates were still struggling, she would provide feedback. Before class starts Bri is already at the meeting spot ready to go over instructions. Since Bri is already at the meeting spot ready to go, her classmates have a behavior to mirror and can do the right thing as well. Bri is an exemplary student and continues to be a valuable asset in the PE classroom.
Jonathen Weaver: Jonathen works hard in PE to succeed at every skill we work on. Jonathen pays the utmost attention during instruction, so he is able to understand how to perform the skill. He makes sure to get as many opportunities in as he can to perform the skill so that he can perfect his ability to complete it. No matter what team Jonathen is on, he works as hard as he can to help his team to victory. He is always cheering on his teammates. Jonathen will stay in the gymnasium until all equipment is picked up. He will even try to motivate other classmates to help out. Jonathen is a phenomenal student and deserves to be the student of the month for April.
