On Sunday, March 6, the RCS First Tech Challenge (FTC) Robotics team competed in the regional championship at Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) in Utica. The team, consisting of, Will Robertson, Gavin Trosclair, Tyler Schwabrow, Nick Cifone, Jasmine Weidman, Gavin Derway, Sienna Rinella, Riley Rinnella, Elizabeth Robertson, Max Deyoe, Arika Vogel, Sonia Snyder, and Ryan Ortloff did an outstanding job at the championship tournament.
Ravena Robotics won 4 out of 5 qualification matches, landing them in 5th place overall out of 28 teams. The team was selected as an alliance partner for the semifinal matches of the tournament, ultimately losing in the finals. All of the students did an amazing job at problem-solving, communicating, and working together as a team to have a successful day at the regional competition. The team is looking forward to building on the progress of this year to grow the program further.
To the seniors, Will, Gavin, Tyler, and Gavin your dedication, determination, and enthusiasm will truly be missed!
