Recently, RCS Middle School seventh and eighth grade students took part in a special ‘Valentines for Veterans’ project to share some cheer with local veterans. The project, coordinated by the Greene County Veterans Service Agency, was organized to provide positive outreach to area veterans to show the community's appreciation for their service. RCS students were able to get creative and designed individual cards that were distributed to area veterans residing in long-term care and assisted living facilities.
“We are incredibly fortunate to be a part of this project to share supportive messages with our area veterans,” said Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Mr. Engelhardt. “By being creative, we are able to positively impact someone’s day while thanking them for their military service. We appreciate the Greene County Veterans Service Agency for presenting our district with the opportunity to participate.”
