Each month the Physical Education Department at the RCS Middle School will be recognizing individual students for the hard work they demonstrated in class during the entire month.
A big congratulations to the Physical Education Students of the Month for December; Tristan Wilsey (grade 6), Alexis Rice (grade 6), Catalina Wheeler (grade 7), Ryan Giangreco (grade 7), Shane Baron (grade 8), and Justine Beals (grade 8).
Here is a brief description of each student’s contributions to their class:
Tristan Wilsey - Tristan always does an amazing job in Physical Education class. He is respectful to both his classmates and teachers. Tristan is a leader in his class through his positive attitude and sportsmanship. He has had a positive influence on the class as a whole and is a pleasure to teach. Tristan, congratulations on receiving Physical Education Student of the Month, and keep up the hard work.
Alexis Rice - Alexis always does a fantastic job in Physical Education class. She is always doing the right thing and gives her best effort during every class. Alexis displays a great example of good sportsmanship skills and following directions. In addition, she always goes out of her way to help others around her. Alexis, congratulations on receiving Physical Education Student of the Month, and keep up the hard work.
Catalina Wheeler - Catalina has done an outstanding job in Physical Education class this year. In every class, she is always doing the right thing by demonstrating sportsmanship, participation, communication, and teamwork skills. Catalina has had a positive impact on the whole class. Catalina does a phenomenal job helping pick up and put away equipment at the end of class. Catalina, congratulations on receiving student of the month and great job on achieving this award.
Ryan Giangreco - Ryan does an amazing job in Physical Education class by following class rules, helping pick up equipment at the end of every class, demonstrating respect and sportsmanship to all students in class, and many more positive things. Ryan is a pleasure to have in class. Ryan, congratulations on receiving student of the month and great job on achieving this award.
Shane Baron - Shane is a positive role model for his PE class and his entire grade. His effort and enthusiasm are phenomenal. He is not afraid to ask questions to make sure what he is doing is efficient and effective. He likes to try new things and learn new concepts related to PE. Shane is always willing to help others and never backs away from being part of a team. Shane has even helped introduce bowling to his classmates. He used his knowledge of the sport to help Ms. Powell explain the skill cues and the rules.
Justine Beals - It is a pleasure to teach Justine. She is never afraid to try something new which creates a confident atmosphere for all. Justine is able to apply her knowledge of a sport or a sports skill to each activity we do in PE. She stands out as a leader in activities and never gives up on herself or her teammates. Justine works well individually, with a partner, and in a group because of her respect towards her classmates. Her sportsmanship and effort have helped drive other students' motivation in PE.
