Each month the physical education department at the RCS Middle School will be recognizing individual students for the hard work they demonstrated in class during the entire month.
A big congratulations to the Physical Education Students of the Month for November; Chevelle Percival (Grade 6), Jadon Sim (Grade 6), Isabella McSweeney (Grade 7), Isabella Williams (Grade 7), Laila Rabideau (Grade 8), and Riley Rinella (Grade 8)!!
Here is a brief description of each student’s contributions to their class:
Chevelle Percival - Chevelle always does an amazing job in Physical Education class. She displays leadership skills through her enthusiasm for class activities, high levels of participation, and always following the rules. Chevelle’s diligence is evident through her performance in every class; she goes above and beyond all class expectations.
Jadon Sim - Jadon has done an outstanding job in Physical Education class. His positive attitude and eagerness to learn are shown through every PE class. If Jadon is unsure of how to perform a skill or an activity, he is not afraid to ask questions about it for clarification to ensure he is completing the task correctly. Jadon is always trying to do the right thing and displays sportsmanship in every class.
Isabella McSweeney - Isabella always does an outstanding job in Physical Education class. She is always kind, respectful, caring, and helpful to her classmates, creating a safe learning environment. During the entire month of November, Isabella has displayed great sportsmanship and leadership skills through all class activities. She always comes to class with a positive attitude and has had a positive influence on the class as a whole.
Isabella Williams - Isabella is always motivating and encouraging others around her to participate in all class activities. Her motivation, honesty, and kindness towards others contribute to creating a safe learning environment for her classmates. Isabella’s hard work is displayed throughout every class activity.
Riley Rinella - Riley is always pushing himself in Physical Education. He is willing to join in and try any activity. Riley uses attendance time during class to develop his skills in whatever sport we are doing. He will go off on his own and practice each skill cue for a skill until he gets it right. Riley’s effort is outstanding; he produces exponential improvement in sport skills because of the effort he puts in. His effort and sportsmanship are beginning to rub off on his peers which have made the class a more positive environment.
Laila Rabideau - Laila is an exceptional student in Physical Education. She is very attentive during instructions and helps to keep peers on task. She creates a safe learning environment for all of her classmates by providing feedback and staying positive. If she notices someone is struggling she will help in any way she can. I have the pleasure of both teaching and coaching Laila. From a coach’s perspective, she is a phenomenal athlete and is captain material. Laila has amazing character and will become a leader for her class as they continue on into high school.
Huge congratulations to these students on receiving PE Student of the Month for November and keep up the great work!
