Did you know that RCS juniors and seniors can receive college credit while still in high school? Beginning this spring semester, RCS students in those grade levels can register to take college-level courses through the College in the High School program. The program, part of Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC), provides RCS students with the opportunity to experience college-level courses while still in high school and receive college credit. Learn more about the program, here.
There will be two courses for students to consider as part of the College in the High School program. They can be found here:
POL-105 Introduction to American Government (3 credit hours)
Instructor: Mr. Sutton
Registration Form
Math-130 Mathematical Structures (3 credit hours)
Instructor: Mr. Dorrance
Registration Form
Interested in registering? It’s a quick and easy process and it starts with the registration form listed under each class (see above). Please note that the price for each course is $65.00 per credit hour and a check must be provided to HVCC for $195.00 (check or money order).
Payment and registration paperwork must be provided to HVCC by Monday, February 22. If you have a student that is currently registered for free or reduced lunch, please reach out to your guidance counselor to see how your child can enroll in this program.
If you have any questions or concerns related to the program, please reach out to Adam Sutton at asutton@rcscsd.org.
