RCS will be hosting our first half day professional development day on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
These days allow our staff to continue to develop essential skills that we need to better ensure student success in these complex times.
On Tuesday, November 3rd, we are going to bring our UPK-4 students into school on an abbreviated schedule. Arrival will occur at the normal time, beginning at 8:35. Bus dismissal will begin at 11 am and parent pickup will begin at 11:15 am.
November 3rd will mark our first time practicing a fully remote school day for students in grades 5-12. Students in grades 5-12 will work remotely with their teachers on an abbreviated schedule from 7:30 to 11 am. More specific schedules will be shared by each building prior to November 3.
The precautions taken while reopening RCS have helped to keep our students and staff safe, with no positive COVID cases in our buildings thus far. Even with this success, we will also be planning a fully remote practice day for students in UPK-4 some time in the future. As a reminder, a key component of keeping all of us safe is the completion of the daily health attestation for all students and staff. Families are expected to use the links that are emailed to them each morning to complete this task. If you are not receiving these emails please contact your child’s main office immediately.
