Dear RCS Families,

We’d like to share some important dates and events coming up in April. For easy access to the District calendar, if you’re using the ParentSquare app, click on the "Events" icon at the bottom of the app. On a desktop, you can find the calendar under the "Discover" tab on the left-hand side.

For website users view the District Calendar here. Go Digital! Add important school dates to your calendar by visiting our website at www.rcscsd.org and clicking on RCS School District Calendar then “copy to my calendar.”


If you have any questions about the dates listed below, please reach out to your student’s main office.

  • Wednesday, April 2: SAT at RCS High School for all Juniors. Read more here.

  • Thursday, April 3: Staff Development Day – Early Dismissal (PK - 12)

    • Elementary Schools: Parent pick-up begins at 12:15 p.m.; buses depart at 12:30 p.m. All students will have lunch prior to dismissal. Parents should be prepared for students to be home approximately 3 hours earlier than usual.  Note: No SACP at PBC.

    • Middle School and High School: Students will be dismissed at 11:07 a.m. and will eat lunch prior to dismissal. All student-athletes are expected to leave campus and return for their later scheduled events, they cannot remain at school.

  • Thursday, April 3: Science Olympiad/Robotics Awards Night at RCS High School, 7:00 p.m.

  • Wednesday, April 9: Board of Education Meeting at RCS High School, 6:00 p.m.

  • Thursday, April 10: AWB Art Show and Science Fair at A.W. Becker Elementary, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

  • Thursday, April 10: HS National Honor Society Induction Ceremony at RCS High School, 6:00 p.m.

  • Friday, April 11: End of Third Marking Period for Middle and High School
    *RCS will be moving to digital-only report cards and progress reports for our middle and high school students beginning in the 2025 - 26 school year. Information on your student's progress is already available in our Parent Portal. You may create an account here.

  • April 14 - 21: Spring Recess (No School)

  • Wednesday, April 23: Board of Education Meeting at RCS High School, 6:00 p.m.

  • Thursday, April 24: PBC Art Show and Community Night at Pieter B. Coeymans Elementary, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.

  • Tuesday, April 29: 2nd Annual Special Education Community Resource Fair. Read more about the event here.
