Why I became a bus driver from a bus driver

How to start
Complete an employment application
Study the CDL Manual - Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10
Get a CDL permit - $10 https://dmv.ny.gov/get-cdl.
Once you get the permit, we will walk you the rest of the way to becoming an RCS School Bus Driver!
Receive Paid 3-8 Week Training ($18.00 an hour) while obtaining your CDL
What do you need to drive a school bus?

Be good with people
Enjoy working with children
Be a safe driver with a safe driving record
Pass a drug screen, DOT physical and background screen.
Pass the required NYS DMV Exams

Competitive Rates
Paid training will be provided to qualified applicants who do not pass a CDL. The training rate is $18.00/hr.
10-month position with a starting rate of $23.34/hr.
