2024-25 School Tax Bills and Rates
2024-25 School Tax Rates
School property tax rates are set in August for the upcoming school year. Tax rates are based on the total tax levy in the voter-approved school budget, the state-determined equalization rates, and assessment rolls for each town.
Estimated school and library tax rates for the 2024-25 school year, per $1,000 of assessed value, are:
Bethlehem - $20.988279
Coeymans - $18.396635
New Scotland - $21.285748
New Baltimore - $ 36.343595
No payments will be accepted after November 1, 2024. Any amounts unpaid at that time will be turned over to the appropriate county.
Paying School Taxes
School property taxes are due by November 1, 2024, this year. School taxes will be collected without penalty from Sept. 2, 2024, through the close of business on October 1, 2024. A penalty of 2% will be added to payments received from Oct. 2, 2024, through November 1, 2024.
