Eight Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School
students have been chosen to participate in this year’s Empire State
Youth Orchestra Melodies of Christmas Chorale. They will perform along
with the Empire State Youth Orchestra at Proctors Theatre Dec. 15-18 in
support of Albany Medical Center’s Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer
and Blood Disorders. Since the inception of the annual Melodies of
Christmas concerts, millions of dollars have been raised for this
important cause. The program will also air on CBS 6 at various times on
Dec. 24 and Dec. 25.
The students were selected from a large pool of applicants in early fall and have been rehearsing since their selection to prepare for their performances. The students are Winnie Civill, Madealyn Frankovic, Carly Gill, Kale Gransbury, Jacob Harbeck, Andrew Jones, Cameron Shackelton and McKenna Stephens.
